Key Responsibilities
Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing work environment, including managing and mentoring junior team members.
Collect ESG-related data from corporate publications such as sustainability and annual reports, and conduct research and analysis aligned with ISS ESG methodologies.
Stay updated on industry-specific trends and developments relevant to ESG performance.
Take responsibility for meeting production targets and ensure timely delivery of high-quality research in accordance with defined standards and processes.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure production deadlines are met without compromising on accuracy or quality.
Continually enhance knowledge on ESG themes and contribute insights to improve corporate rating methodologies. Participate in thought leadership, support research publications, and assess new data sources to strengthen evaluations.
Demonstrate initiative, ownership, and accountability in all aspects of your work.
Serve as a subject matter expert on production workflows; conduct training and share expertise across relevant industries.
Engage in quality assurance activities, support the rollout of quality control procedures, review ESG research by peers, and maintain high standards through regular data validation checks.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in fields such as Environmental Science, International Relations, Development Studies, or Human Rights. A background in Finance, Sustainable Finance, or an MBA with a sustainability focus is highly desirable.
0–2 years of professional experience, ideally with a focus on sustainability, ESG, or related business research.
Strong command of the English language (spoken and written); additional proficiency in Mandarin, Korean, or Japanese is a plus.
Previous experience in ESG data gathering, analysis, or sector-specific sustainability research is advantageous.
Demonstrated integrity, strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to succeed in a fast-evolving, dynamic environment.
Able to work independently while maintaining deadlines, quality, and production efficiency.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey research insights clearly.
Strong analytical and research capabilities, with a focus on precision and continuous quality improvement.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
Ability to process and synthesize large volumes of data quickly and accurately.
