Build and maintain strong partnerships with businesses located in Low-to-Moderate-Income (LMI) and Environmental Justice (EJ) communities to increase their participation in BGE’s energy efficiency initiatives.
Proactively engage with trade allies, professional groups, and organizations serving LMI/EJ communities to raise awareness and encourage involvement in the programs.
Identify participation barriers and craft community-relevant strategies to overcome them.
Deliver targeted presentations to promote energy efficiency programs and represent BGE at trade shows, community events, and stakeholder meetings.
Coordinate with LMI/EJ communities to plan and execute energy education events that promote awareness, education, and local support.
Maintain open communication with participants and stakeholders to understand their needs and gather feedback on their experience.
Assist program managers in developing outreach and marketing strategies to increase engagement.
Prepare detailed status reports highlighting progress toward program goals, contractor engagement, and lead pipeline development.
Support program operations through reporting, application reviews, forecasting, marketing efforts, and client communications.
Travel locally 25%–75% of the time is required. Must have reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement available).
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Energy, Communications, or a related field (experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis).
At least 1 year of experience in community outreach, preferably with underserved or under-resourced groups.
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish or Chinese (reading, writing, and speaking).
Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (must pass a Motor Vehicle Records check).
1+ years of experience managing or promoting energy efficiency projects, especially with HVAC contractors, distributors, commercial property managers, government agencies, or retail sectors.
Previous utility industry experience.
Bilingual or multilingual capabilities.
Ability to establish and maintain long-term community partnerships.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.

Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
Self-driven with a strong work ethic and adaptability.
Business professionalism, including handling of confidential information.
Skilled at working across organizational levels and with external partners.
Knowledge of coalition building, community organizing, and grassroots program development.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Dynamics).
Familiarity with building systems, lighting, or HVAC for energy efficiency.
